The Nebula lamp is up for auction! Reminiscent of interstellar clouds of dust and gas in space, this lamp is made from Banana-abaca fiber and manipulated to obtain a voluminous shape. This special fiber is cultivated in the Philippines and woven by a community of weavers found in the province of Bicol.

Each lamp sold supports the livelihood development programs for the weavers and their families. Now, in collaboration with CharityStars and DesignCircus, the funds collected from this auction will also proceed to the Terre des Hommes for the project called "An expense for children". This program provides immediate support to families with children, in situations of serious economic difficulty certified by the Municipality of Milan, through the distribution of basic necessities.

This piece is the original first prototype of the Nebula lamp – certified and authenticated. It was first shown to the public during Design Circus in 2018, and it is the same one that won the Special Mention award in Salone Satellite 2019. The lamp was recently featured on Italian National television Rai TG2 and on Marie Claire Maison. It was exhibited at the Rinascente Milano pop-up collaboration with Salone Satellite.

The online auction runs from June 15 to 29
